A chess board where truth changes the rules.

False Board: Season 1 - The Crown Was Missing is a short story-chess game about hidden identity, official records, and what happens when the board itself cannot be trusted.

At first, this is not normal chess.

During the Mask War, checkmate is not the goal. Royal law is locked, public names may lie, and the board must be investigated through pressure, captures, and contradiction.

The player is not simply trying to win yet. The player is trying to expose what the official record is hiding.

Once the hidden corruption is uncovered, chess law returns.

Check matters. Escape matters. Checkmate matters again.

Release note:

False Board is still in active development. This public release is meant to introduce the core idea: Mask War first, chess law after the truth is exposed.

Some edge-case move logic, loading speed, visual polish, and difficulty balancing may still be adjusted as the game is tested.

The game is free to play. Feedback is welcome, especially if you find a move lock, frozen board state, missing asset, or strange legal-move issue.
